Multi-disciplinary Outreaching Support Teams for the Elderly

This service unit is subsidised by the Government Social Welfare Department and was launched in 2019 to serve elderly residents in residential care homes. It operates with a multidisciplinary team (comprising physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, social workers and rehabilitation assistants). The team provides comprehensive and professional services to meet the social and rehabilitation needs of elderly residents in the care homes, so as to enhance their quality of life. In addition, they strengthen the caregiving knowledge and skills of the care home staff and caregivers.
